Created Issue: Confused what to do next after configuring the application [15328]

I have successfully configured the LITWAREHR.
1. Each time when i open http://localhost/litware it ask for "ORGANIZATION INFORMATION". if i give already existing ALIAS NAME application get crashes, if i provide new alias name then it opens new page with the 2 links [ public web site & private web site].
2. when i click on "PUBLIC WE SITE" link it opens new page with few menuitems, only "CAREERS" menuitem works by displaying "job search " link with blank page. & "PRIVATE SITE" link works opening new page
3. if i click on other menuitems other than CAREERS & PRIVATE SITE, application get crashes say "PAGE CANNOT BE FOUND" and it displays url like this http://localhost/aliasname/
4. when i click on PRIVATE SITE menuitem it open welcome page with 3 menuitems HOME menu doesn't works, when i click on CONFIGURATION & CUSTOMIZATION it ask for login.
5. Each and every time i have to click SING UP HERE link after entering the credentials it completes registration and opens configuration page.

after that.... blank nothing we can do in that application.
1. what to do next.... ?
2. how to use this application / architecture in my project.?

Created Issue: Private Application Section does not show left side menu for configuration and customization

Hi All,

I installed Litware HR application on my machine and its working fine. I am able to create tenant and end user successfully but i am unable to see the left side menu options for Configuration & Customization , Presentation. I am not getting any error while setup or when running the application.

What can be the cause for this?

I'm trying to install Litware on WindowsXP, but have som problems when running Provision.cmd.

I have exactly the same problem during the connection to the Directory Service. But unfortunately Arthurgreef's suggestion does not help.

I checked my RPC service and it seems to be running. I really don't know where should I turn to for the answer...

Hi there

I have tried numerous times to get litware fully implemented and while I seem to get everything installed correctly when I attempt to log onto a private web site I get the following error. And yes I have reviewed this FAQ http://www.codeplex.com/LitwareHR/Wiki/View.aspx?title=Troubleshooting%20communication%20object%20error&referringTitle=Litware%20HR%20FAQ and no it did not solve my problem.

Does anyone have any idea of what I might be able to do to solve this problem? I'd sure like to get this working.

I use SQL 2005 as opposed to a SQL Express installation. Having successfully installed the Litware application I kept getting the same error on registration. The obvious solution was to change the connection strings in the relevant web.config files to point to the SQL 05 database.

BTW, to use SQL 05 I simply had to replace all references to SQL Express in the installation files with references to my SQL installation.

Hello,

After I finished the data center provisioning, I proceed to run tenant provisioning. I encountered the following error after I enter the data for Contoso. The following is the detail of error message and stack trace. Can anyone help me on this issue or give me some pointer as to what I have done wrong? I am currently running this on Window 2003 R2. I logged in as administrator. Thanks.

I could not understand why is this failing.. any help i really appricate.. i am trying to make my first ssds app to work..

When the code is calling this function... :

which is then calling.. : ISitkaSoapService proxy = factory.Build("SitkaProxy");

which is then calling:

The install process was fairly smooth.

One important difficulty was that I am installing on Windows Server 2003 R2 which is setup as a domain controller (I needed Active Directory for another purpose).
This means that two of the steps in the readme.rtf and the installation video don't appear to work on this configuration:

II.b is done using the Computer Management applet in the video but this has to be done using the Active Directory tool on my configuration (nothing too taxing so far)

III.c I simply can't locate the NETWORK SERVICE account in order to add it as described below.
Go to the "CN=Roles" folder and double-click the "Administrators" account.
Locate the "member" attribute and double-click it.
Choose "Add Windows-account" and add the Trusted Subsystem Account (NETWORK SERVICE) name (see I.b).
Click the Ok buttons to close the editor.

Everything works fine until I hit the "Provision the Application" button on http://www.litware.com/TryWizard/Default.aspx , then I get this error (see below)...
Any help much appreciated.

Ok, make sure you have the "user must change password" stuff unchecked when creating the Provisioning user.

I installed the windows xp version. In the try the application page, when I filled the organization information, and click the "Provision the application" button, exception occurs "Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation."( see snap1 for detail in the attached).
I debug in to the code, found that when executing Src\Litware\Shp.Runtime.Services\AuthenticationLogic.cs Line 63 cnUserDirEntry.Invoke("SetPassword", new object[] { password }); the error occured.
But it seams that the tenant and account had been created successfully in the database and ADAM, also the virtual path in the IIS. (See the attached)
And the created virtual path can be accessed, some links in it can not be.. (see snap6-7 for detail in the attached).
Any helps?

I have installed the applications on one server and the databases on another. I have resolved all of the issues that I got when doing this and the application now runs up until when the authorizations are added at the end of the provision runtime stored procedure. From what I can see I am missing actions from the action table that are referenced by the authorizations being added.

1. I have checked the insert tenant meta data sql script and it doesn't have any more actions than i have in the database

Is anyone else having this problem, and if not could someone please export the items from their action table and upload it for me. I am stuck because I cannot add the missing actions manually as I do not know the descriptions and uri's.
